Thanksgiving at cousin Anne's with sister Amy and both families raised our holiday spirits and motivated us to do our annual card/letter ... so here's our year in a slideshow (click picture in window that opens to start show), in images and words
Two snows, one almost a foot, in January for Beth
Mike started (and continued) walking with neighbor, Skip (and Skip's dog, Clyde)
A glider for deck delivered Feb 1st, so naturally had to try
Lenten Roses peeked out also in Feb (other roses later in year)
Beth bought more land
The cats entertained us year round
Karen visited most of the times she came from Charleston to see her father in Asheville
Beth found some Kelty hiking staffs which helped tremendously with her balance on the trails
We peeked out of our Covid shell a few times this year: to Edgar Springs (hey Margie & Joe), Hot Springs, Max Patch, Chicago (hey Cole, Joey & Steve, Fran & Jim, Mary), Charlotte (hey Edwards, Vandenbergs, Trisha)
Visited locally with Carol & David more frequently
More virtual art classes for Beth
Friends visited us (both physically and virtually) -- Elizabeth & Scott & Saro, Christa & Skip, June & David, Toetie & Phil, Joanie & Indie, Gretchen with Granddaughter Meredith, Fran & Jim, Carol & Baxter, Teresa & Brendon & Sean, Trisha & Asa (Anne tried)
Also visits from other creatures: racoons, possums, deer, coyote, turkeys, bears, snakes, chip monks, bobcat ... (have I forgotten any, Skip? Skip is responsibe for the many and varied images from trailcams)
We also saw an Elk family in Smoky Mountains National Park, which is partly in our county
We had a spectacular if short leaf season ... maybe due to an extended dry spell to which Ian finally put an end
Another minuture donkey was born down the road
Love Beth & Mike
